When you have earned that peace, you are fit to judge between true and false values, between the values of the kingdom of God and the values of all that the world has to offer. To know that peace is to have received the stamp of the kingdom of God. “Lord, we thank Thee for the great gift of peace, that peace which passeth all understanding, that peace which the world can neither give nor take away.” That is the peace that only God can give in the midst of a restless world and surrounded by trouble and difficulty. Have I stopped trying to run my own life? So we turn to that Divine Principle in the universe that we call God. That’s practically impossible to believe. Notice that the word “fear” is bracketed alongside the difficulties with Mr. We admitted our wrongs honestly and were willing to set these matters straight. We placed them before us in black and white. Where were we to blame? The inventory was ours, not the other man’s. Where had we been selfish, dishonest, self-seeking and frightened? Though a situation had not been entirely our fault, we tried to disregard the other person involved entirely. Putting out of our minds the wrongs others had done, we resolutely looked for our own mistakes.

I pray that I may live with Him in my heart and mind. I pray that I may keep close to the Mind of God. Keep close to the Divine Spirit in the universe. Abide in the Lord and rejoice in His love. It is the thing that influences the lives of others for good. Try to practice the presence of God in the things you think and do. Keeping close to a Power greater than yourself is the solution to most of the earth’s problems. Try to think, act, live as though you were always in God’s presence.
